I gave Joe Blue Like Jazz for Christmas, and I never pushed him to read it. I know that if I pushed it on him and asked him when he would finally read it, it would only make him want to put it off longer. That's how he is.
So I kept quiet.
He texted me last night and said, "I started reading Blue Like Jazz tonight" (!)
I hope he finds answers within the pages. Donald Miller is probably one of the most honest writers when it comes to Christianity. Joe will like him, I just know it.
So I've been praying. I've been praying that he takes something from the book, and it isn't just wasted ink on a page.
Here's to Hope.
Yay!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Megan. (:
You're a great friend.
A Christian friend lent me this book a few years ago, I really enjoyed it.
