GLORIOUS!

I just got home from working on my pop culture radio broadcast with my group.
It's so great.

it involves zombies, we also had to come up with commercials to put in the middle of it and one of them was:

This broadcast was sponsored in part by: Clear and Clean

(to the tune of tick tock by kesha)
"Wake up in the morning feeling like a zombie
walk into the bathroom and you scare your mommy

I'm talking flesh fallin' off your face face
Looking like a disgrace grace

stop the track! Clear and clean- have no green- will stop this from happening to you.

It was glorious.
7 minutes and 22 seconds of sheer greatness.

Nightmares.

I almost dread going to sleep now. I've had a nightmare for the past 3 nights. I'm seeing a commonality in them, and each of them have some part of death in them.

Sunday night:
I dreamt of sitting up in my bed after waking, and there was a coffin at the end of it. This man walks in crying and tells me that his sister is dead in the coffin. All of a sudden after he leaves I hear banging on the coffin and it slowly creaks open. This woman with maybe 3 strings left of hair and green glowing eyes sits up and stares at me. She talks to me, but I can't remember now what she says.

Monday night:
I'm in a house that I can't recognize and this man walks up to me, and he seems like a nice guy. In the middle of his speaking to me his eyes, once again, turn green and he growls at me. I only think to run, and he chases me to this house. I walk in and there is a family sitting at the dining room table and they motion for me to come on in. I don't know this family. The man won't enter this house. Once I see that he is gone I walk out of the house, but it isn't a street anymore, it's a laundry room. A little boy walks in, and the same thing happens with him. This time I had a spike in my hand and stabbed him through the back of his head and he shriveled up and was steaming.

Tuesday night:
Even though this is the most recent, all I can remember is being chased by ghosts.

Demonic spirits maybe?
I don't know, but I don't like it and I dread going to bed tonight.

Yay Flowers

This is my newest piece, I just found it in one of my folders on my computer. I must have taken it this summer. So I tweaked it a little. At first I hated it, but now I'm growing to love it. I've been in this wierd mood about photography. I felt like every picture I took was horrible, probably because I'm tired of my camera. (which I plan to get a new one with my money I earn from camp this year). Either way, I'm going to suck it up and get going on photography again!

"The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun"

Christopher McCandless

Letter to me.

I hope you never forget who you really are, and I hope you follow your dreams. Don't let the world, and the people in it, get you down. Go where you want, He'll lead you. There is such a passion stirring inside you, screaming to get out. Let it. Don't be afraid of change, with it comes new and fascinating oppurtunities.
Most of all, I hope that your faith in God is always the way as it was when you were 17.

The above is an excerpt from a letter I'm writing to myself. I'm sealing it on my 18th birthday so I have about 2 weeks to finish it, and I'll open it every 2 years. So the next time I'll read the full letter and see the pictures I enclose in it will be, January 31, 2012.
Hopefully I will see the dreams and goals I set for myself coming true.

ARGH!

I wish I had a youth group to be proud of... a youth group to call my own and invite people to. But there is NO way that I would invite anyone searching for God to my homechurch youthgroup. We have amazing facilities, but it's just not like it used to be. I remember looking forward to going every wednesday when I was in about 7th or 8th grade. I had high school kids to look up to, but now I don't know who the younger ones are looking up to now.
The lesbians?
The potheads?

I feel horrible about this, and I feel like I am being very judgemental but these teens who are there now... they are in it for the wrong reason. I'm glad that they are getting the experience, but it seems fake to me.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sunday morning service. I would invite everyone and their dog to that.

I'm sorry, this is just me rambling...
I'm just extremely upset about this.

WE DON'T EVEN HAVE PRAISE AND WORSHIP ON WEDNESDAYS ANYMORE!
What's happening, I feel like the outsider at my own church.
It's really sad when the kids who go to church on sundays don't even show up to the wednesday services.

The Start of Freedom?

Josie and I structured this lovely plan to see Copeland play in their last tour.
In Chicago.

The plan is that we take the train from Alton to Chicago, $44 roundtrip.
Chris meets us at Union Station in Chicago, and tours us around until the show starts.
Go to The Metro to see COPELAND! Sadly, for the last time. $16.

$60 trip. (I have to come up with the money on my own though)

MOM SAID YES!
Josie and I will both be 18 by this time. (holy crap)
We're going by ourselves.

and my mother said yes, is this the start of my freedom?

WAAHOOO.

IT'S FOUR IN THE MORNING!

Tonight has been quite eventful. I'm sitting here on Josie's couch (on her laptop as well).I just took the heat for waking her mother up from sleep... while Josie and her sister ran downstairs and left me to fend for myself. It was like waking a bear from hibernation. Scary right? So anyway, we had chinese take out, well actually Josie ate most of it and I had a couple peices of crab. We then decided to bear the cold weather and go to rent a movie. I had to wear her sister's non-outside boots covered in multicolored hearts in various sizes. They were quite glam, but a wee bit slippery. Josie shoveled behind the car, which I'm not really sure what good that did, while I brushed the snow off of her buried car with a broom!
We venture out into the wild. We had to make a pitstop about 10 feet from her house because we couldn't see a thing. I got out and wiped the snow off of the headlights, "LET THERE BE LIGHT!!". I felt a little like God for a moment. We got to the movie store after sliding right past the entrance and picked out Into The Wild. This was of course after we looked at every single movie in the place after we knew what movie we wanted in the first 10 minutes.

We watched the movie. It was wonderful.
(I really mean that!)

Then we sat around talking all philosophically, smoking pipes and wearing glasses (in Josie's mind atleast), then we headed to the kitchen! The best room in the house. Josie ate everything in sight, while I drank everything in sight. Nothing could quench our needs.

Now we sit here on the couch, waiting to write down Josie's goals on a peice of paper. She's really into the whole list writing thing. Which is a sign of a mental illness that we can't think of right now. Maybe Alzheimers?

We're off to swallowing red-heads now, chao.

Missions

My admissions counselor from Greenville just called me to ask questions about financial aid and whatnot, but we barely talked about financial aid. We mostly talked about the mission oppurtunities provided there.

She told me of her experience in study abroad in UGANDA! Which is really awesome because Uganda has really been on my mind. Anyway, Greenville has so much to offer when it comes to missions. Student led missions over seas, in the u.s., wherever (just as long as a faculty member agrees to go). There is a whole group/club for kids who want to be in missions.

So when I tell people "I have been called to missions", most of them kind of look at me funny and just shrug it off. When I told my admissions counselor her response was, "Really? Awesome! Do you know where you have been called to?"
That just amazes me, because they understand. Missions is a big part of Greenville. Which makes me even more excited to go. For a while I was debating on going to Greenville because of the cost.. but now I'm positive on going.

I'm supposed to be there.

Romans 13:10 and some ramblings.

"Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. (NKJV)
"Love does no wrong to anyone. That's why it fully satisfies all of God's requirements. It is the only law you need" (The Living Bible)

"I loved the fact that it wasn't my responsibility to change somebody, that it was God's, that my part was just to communicate love and approval"
-Blue Like Jazz.

I can't change someone, only God can. All I am supposed to do is show my love for them and approve of them.
I'm going to show 2010 a lot of love.
