My admissions counselor from Greenville just called me to ask questions about financial aid and whatnot, but we barely talked about financial aid. We mostly talked about the mission oppurtunities provided there.
She told me of her experience in study abroad in UGANDA! Which is really awesome because Uganda has really been on my mind. Anyway, Greenville has so much to offer when it comes to missions. Student led missions over seas, in the u.s., wherever (just as long as a faculty member agrees to go). There is a whole group/club for kids who want to be in missions.
So when I tell people "I have been called to missions", most of them kind of look at me funny and just shrug it off. When I told my admissions counselor her response was, "Really? Awesome! Do you know where you have been called to?"
That just amazes me, because they understand. Missions is a big part of Greenville. Which makes me even more excited to go. For a while I was debating on going to Greenville because of the cost.. but now I'm positive on going.
I'm supposed to be there.
That's sooo great! You'll be among people and in an environment that will definitely cultivate that passion in you to help people. I'm so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteThis might be odd to you, but I feel like saying it. :P
ReplyDeleteYou know what's great about not having a love interest? It doens't hold you back from things like missions and such.
I'm really excited to see what you'll do next! :D
