YES!

I GOT THE SCHOLARSHIP!:D

I get home and the letter is sitting on the bar, so I take a deep breath and open it (kind of like those cheesy acceptance letters on movies):

Dear Miss Armentrout,

We were pleased to have the oppurtunity to speak with you on April 10th about your educational plans. We have decided to grant you 3,000 each year to attend Greenville for 4 years.

Praise God! I went into the scholarship interview so nervous, but I prayed before I went in. The board of directors asked me what I planned to do after college and I said, "I plan to become a missionary overseas" and the guy's face at the end of the table lit up and he smiled. He then wrote something down on a piece of paper and pushed it to the side.
when I left he said, "It was nice meeting you, there should be more like you, keep up the good work."


When I opened that letter today I jumped up and down and squealed( yes like a little girl) :D

Today during 7th hour I got called down to the office along with 9 other seniors and I received an invitation to the academic awards dinner at the school. The top 10 kids get into this dinner automatically, and the only other way to be invited was if you won a scholarship.
I'm number 24 in my class.
